MAXXI L'Aquila Hosts Performative 06: COMBINATORIE Festival of Contemporary Performance
From 11 to 13 September, the sixth edition of Performative, a contemporary performance festival at MAXXI L'Aquila, will take place at Palazzo Ardinghelli. Curated by Oscar Pizzo and Fanny Borel, this year's event, themed COMBINATORIE, offers more than 50 free activities. The festival kicks off on 11 September at 20:00 with a preview of Il combattimento tra Orazi e Curiazi by Giorgio Battistelli. Notable performances include works by Philip Glass, Pierre Jodlowski, and Steve Reich, along with video installations and interactive projects. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy La conferenza degli uccelli by Bedirhan Dehmen and Silvia Di Gregorio, while Oscar Pizzo pays tribute to Cornelius Cardew on Sunday. Discussions will feature Ziad Antar and Giorgio Battistelli, among others. The event is backed by ALES S.p.A. and Comune dell'Aquila.
