Maurizio Cattelan Children's Book Launches in MAXXI's 'Piccoli MAXXI' Series
RAUM Italic Edizioni has released a new illustrated children's book featuring Maurizio Cattelan as part of its 'Piccoli MAXXI' series. Authored by Flavia De Sanctis Mangelli and illustrated by Steven Guarnaccia, the narrative begins in 1969 with a nine-year-old Maurizio in Padova. It chronicles Cattelan's journey from his childhood through to his famous creations, such as the banana, golden toilet, and Zorro painting. De Sanctis Mangelli selected Cattelan for his worldwide resonance with children, showcasing his early jobs and artistic trials. The bilingual book, available in Italian and English, includes vibrant illustrations and a glossary. This release coincides with Cattelan's recent retrospective at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. The piece was penned by Alex Urso for Artribune.
