festival-fair · 2026-10-03

"I Don’t Want This Poem to End," a program dedicated to the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish, took place at Paint It Black in Turin on 26 and 27 September 2026. Curated by Lilou Vidal, this event was part of Poetry Day, which began in 2020 at the Centre Pompidou. Collaborating with the Institut du Monde Arabe, the gathering included notable figures such as Radio Alhara, Ghayath Almadhoun, and Asmaa Azaizeh. A mail art initiative, titled Literal Madness, saw contributions from about 80 artists. Vidal underscored the significance of cultural language preservation and discussed Darwish's intricate perspectives on identity and politics. The interview was carried out by Valeria Radkevych.
