Lokrima's Culla Caetani Launches Memory Worksite on Aldo Moro's 110th Birthday
On September 23, coinciding with Aldo Moro's 110th birthday, conceptual artist Lokrima (Mirko Tosti) unveils Culla Caetani, an installation that merges art, technology, music, craftsmanship, and political history. This marks the beginning of a visible construction process aimed at contemplating the future of democracy. The installation draws inspiration from the red Renault 4 where Moro's remains were discovered on May 9, 1978, utilizing its tailgate as a symbol of renewal. An itinerant agora will be formed by a Comitato dei 100, inviting scholars, artists, and others to examine the project's evolution. The auditory experience juxtaposes Bach's St Matthew Passion with Italian pop from the late 1970s. Culla Caetani is part of Reliquie Laiche (1978) and will be displayed until May 2027, concluding with a private event in Rome.
