Italy's London Embassy and Fondazione Sandretto Launch Emerging Artist Project for Frieze London 2027
Beginning in 2027, the Italian Embassy in London will collaborate with the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo to host an annual event called Costellazioni, which will feature an emerging Italian artist at the ambassador's residence during Frieze London. Each year, an artist from a participating gallery will be chosen to present their work at an evening dedicated to public and industry interaction. On 16 October, Italian ambassador Fabio Cassese introduced the initiative, showcasing Paola Pivi's Untitled (little bag-armchair) (2000) and Enrico David's Racket II (2017). This project seeks to bridge established artists with new talent, enhancing the Italian gallery system's connection to a significant international stage while promoting cultural diplomacy and contemporary exploration.
