Il Ponte Casa d'Aste to Auction 300 Vintage Fashion Lots in Milan on October 27

More than 300 lots, nearly all from a single owner's collection, will go under the hammer at Il Ponte Casa d'Aste in Milan on October 27 in a sale titled Fashion Vintage Selection. Evening gowns, precious materials and major designer names make up the catalogue, which is on public view October 23, 24 and 25 at the auction house's Milan headquarters, Palazzo Crivelli. Bidding is restricted to written, telephone and online offers. Hermès handbags anchor the top of the sale. A lizard Jige (lot 193, estimate €2,200–2,800) is joined by a crocodile version (lot 283, €2,200–2,600), a Plume (lot 262, €2,200–3,000) and a Bolide (lot 249, €1,500–2,000), the last two also in crocodile. Among clothing, Christian Dior offers a chiffon dress (lot 56, €450–600), while Valentino's signature red appears as a one-shoulder silk satin gown (lot 182, €450–550). Prada is represented by rhinestone-embellished (lot 293, €120–150) and crystal (lot 278, €150–180) clutches, alongside a group of coats by Prada, Hermès, Christian Dior and Gucci. A leather goods section gathers Fendi's Mamma Baguette (lot 165, €450–550), Louis Vuitton's classic Monogram duffle (lot 269, €500–800) and Gucci's Bamboo (lot 285, €1,400–1,800).
