Permanent Forum of Contemporary Art lands in Genoa after Prato
On April 16, 2016, the Permanent Forum of Contemporary Art held a study day at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce in Genoa, with nearly 80 speakers and over 100 listeners. The event continued the work started in Prato, focusing on the relationship between the public and private sectors in the Italian contemporary art system. Participants discussed taxation, sponsorship, museum governance, and the possible creation of an Agency for Contemporary Art. Silvia Simoncelli moderated the table on Art Bonus and taxation, highlighting VAT disparities with France and the United Kingdom. Francesca Colombo led the debate on sponsorship and communication, emphasizing the importance of the mediator. Ilaria Bonacossa addressed governance models, while Antonella Crippa coordinated the discussion on the Agency. The Proceedings of Prato are available online, and those of Genoa will follow shortly.
