Electa Publishes New Carlo Mollino Monograph 'Mollino A-Z'

publication · 2026-09-27

A new monograph dedicated to Carlo Mollino has been published by Electa. Titled Mollino A-Z, the 255-page volume is priced at €35.00. The book examines the life and work of Mollino (1905–1973), described as one of the leading figures of twentieth-century Italian culture. Doppiozero has previously covered Mollino as a designer and photographer, as well as an unconventional biography of him. The publication adds to a growing body of literature on the Turin architect and artist that has proliferated since 1985. The first monograph devoted to Mollino appeared twelve years after his death, edited by his pupil Giovanni Brino under the title Architettura come autobiografia, architettura, mobili ambientazioni 1928–1973. Since then, Mollino's personality and oeuvre have finally achieved the publishing success he deserved but did not enjoy during his lifetime. The article is authored by Maria Luisa Ghianda and Anita Romanello.
