Carrie Mae Weems cura il numero di Wallpaper*, annuncia l'iniziativa 250 and Change
Nell'ottobre 2026, la rivista Wallpaper* presenterà un numero curato da Carrie Mae Weems, nata a Portland, Oregon, nel 1953. Per rendere omaggio alla sua opera Inserts del 1988, la rivista sarà stampata su carta non verniciata. Questa edizione mette in luce Weems insieme ad artisti che lei rispetta, incentrandosi sui temi dei monumenti e della memoria. Nota per la sua esplorazione di razza, identità e potere, Weems ha creato opere significative come la serie Kitchen Table (1990) e From Here I Saw What Happened and I Cried (1995-96).
