BuildFest 2026 a Bethel Woods apre Act One: Staging, con installazioni visibili fino a novembre
La quinta edizione del Bethel Woods Art & Architecture Festival, noto come BuildFest, si è svolta dal 9 al 13 settembre a Bethel, New York, sui terreni storici di Max Yasgur. La curatrice ospite Stephanie Sang Delgado ha introdotto un'iniziativa triennale chiamata Acts of Construction, che inizia con Act One: Staging. Il festival di quest'anno ha visto la partecipazione di quasi 250 persone in rappresentanza di 15 istituzioni, un aumento significativo rispetto alle quattro scuole coinvolte nel 2022. Tra i momenti salienti, 13 installazioni principali, due interventi, workshop, proiezioni digitali, performance musicali, DJ set, partite di calcio e attività di campeggio. Squadre di varie università, come Cornell e UCLA, hanno contribuito ai progetti. Sang Delgado ha sottolineato il valore dell'esperienza pratica, e le installazioni rimarranno accessibili al pubblico fino a novembre. Le proposte per Act Two saranno invitate all'inizio del 2027, con BuildFest provvisoriamente programmato per l'inizio di settembre.
