cultural-heritage · 2026-10-04

The "Museum Triangle" initiative was introduced by Bucharest's City Hall and Sector 1 City Hall, connecting three national museums situated along Șoseaua Kiseleff: the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, the National Geological Museum, and the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant. This pilot project commenced on 19-20 September 2026, offering 18 activities for families and children, such as creative recycling, concerts, and a treasure hunt. Centered on the theme of Dobruja, it highlighted Land, Nature, and People. Key components include a new structure for the Antipa Museum and the restoration of Villa Samurcaș, funded by "Fondamenta culturali" via a loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank. The goal is to establish a permanent cultural district in Kiseleff.
