Benefit auction of contemporary art to reforest Prato

The auction 'Art for Reforestation', promoted by the Arte Continua Association, involves over 15 Italian and international artists to fund reforestation in Prato. Curated by Pandolfini Casa d'Aste, the online auction is active until June 13 and features 32 works, with 4 additional ones in private negotiation. Participants include names such as Barclay, Loris Cecchini, Leandro Erlich, and Antony Gormley. The project, born from the collaboration between Arte Continua and botanist Stefano Mancuso, plans to plant 300 trees in the Tobbiana-Allende district, helping to sequester 3000 kg of CO2 annually. This initiative is part of the 'Prato Forest City' plan, conceived by Mancuso and PNAT, a spin-off of the University of Florence. Founded 32 years ago by Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi, and Maurizio Rigillo, the Association is dedicated to public art projects that foster social and cultural ties.
