Appia Day 2026: Villa dei Tritoni Opens as Rome Leads 10th Edition
The 10th Appia Day, themed "Nata per unire," is set to take place on October 3 and 4, 2026, with Roma Capitale leading the organization. This event will align with the public unveiling of the Villa dei Tritoni complex, located at Via Appia Antica 55, which was acquired by the Ministry of Culture in 2022. While entry is free, attendance will be limited. Planned activities include a Climate Walk on Sunday, discussions at the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella, and exclusive openings of historical sites. Events will also feature bike tours and performances across Italy. Notably, the Via Appia was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in summer 2024. Anna Di Paolo and Sabrina Alfonsi emphasize the importance of participation and intergenerational dialogue.
