Un anno dopo che la NEA ha ritirato o terminato numerose sovvenzioni il 2 maggio 2025, le organizzazioni artistiche del Sud-Ovest stanno rivedendo i loro approcci di finanziamento. Tra i colpiti ci sono l'Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, l'Arts Foundation for Tucson, il Queer Spectra Arts Festival, il Paseo Project, il Motus Theater e Childsplay. Il Paseo Project ha affrontato una perdita di 35.000 dollari per il suo festival del 2025, con una riduzione del budget del 20%. Allo stesso modo, il budget del Motus Theater si è ridotto del 5% a causa della perdita di una sovvenzione di 35.000 dollari.
