Zofia Rydet's Sociological Record Exhibition at The Photographers' Gallery in London

The Photographers' Gallery in London presents 'Zofia Rydet: Sociological Record,' an exhibition showcasing the Polish photographer's extensive documentary project. Running from October 10, 2025, to February 22, 2026, the show features rare prints from Rydet's monumental series, which captured domestic interiors and inhabitants across Poland between 1978 and 1990. Co-curated by Clare Grafik and Karol Hordziej, the exhibition marks the first major UK presentation of this work, highlighting Rydet's systematic yet empathetic approach to documenting everyday life during a period of social transformation. The project, comprising over 20,000 images, is considered a significant achievement in 20th-century Polish photography.
