Zak Ové's Monumental Figures to Grace The Sherborne's Historic Gardens
Zak Ové has put together a striking collection of sculptures featuring thirteen towering figures, each over two meters tall, which will be showcased at The Sherborne, a beautiful Georgian estate. This exhibition, called 'The Invisible Man and the Masque of Blackness' (2016), explores the strength and resilience of the African diaspora. The name is inspired by Ralph Ellison’s 'Invisible Man' and Ben Jonson’s 1605 play 'The Masque of Blackness.' The sculptures will be uniquely set up in the historic garden. Co-curated by Liz Gilmore, the CEO, and Sir Robert Fry, who was the Chair of the Board of Trustees in 2018, this exhibition is sure to provide an engaging experience within the stunning Georgian surroundings.
