Z33 and Four Flemish Museums Seek Curator for Annual Collection Exhibitions From 2028
A collaborative initiative has been announced by Muhka, M Leuven, Mu.ZEE, S.M.A.K., and Z33, inviting a curator, artist, or team to design exhibitions from their contemporary art collections, commencing annually at Z33 in Hasselt in 2028. Each exhibition will showcase museum-owned pieces alongside new works, curated by a guest to explore social themes. These institutions previously worked together on This Is Us at Z33 in 2023. Proposals should aim to engage a wide audience, with at least one member possessing curatorial experience. Z33 will offer support, including a €12,000 fee for concept development and €15,000 for commissioned pieces. Submissions are due by 15 November 2026 at info@z33.be, with further information available on the Z33 website.
