Young V&A Exhibition Reveals Creative Process of Aardman Animation Studio

The Young V&A museum in London has launched its third exhibition, titled 'Inside Aardman: Wallace & Gromit and Friends.' This display is designed for children and families, offering an immersive look into the creative universe of Aardman Animations, the studio responsible for iconic characters like Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep, and Morph. The exhibition coincides with the studio's 50th anniversary, highlighting the narrative techniques and craftsmanship that transform initial sketches into finished films. Organized into thematic areas covering concept development, model creation, filming, and post-production, the show reveals the specialized skills, equipment, and methods behind the studio's unique storytelling. More than 150 items are featured, including early character drawings, concept artwork, puppets, character guides, and props. The exhibition provides insight into how Aardman's imaginative worlds are constructed, from initial ideas to final screen presentation.
