Yiyun Kang and Korean Digital Artists Explore AI Anxiety at Fondation Fiminco

From April 24 to June 21, 2026, Fondation Fiminco in Romainville, France, presents an exhibition spotlighting Korean digital art. Yiyun Kang leads with three immersive installations in the Chaufferie, a 1,200 m² space with 14-meter ceilings. Great Anxiety materializes collective fear of artificial intelligence through a vast metallic membrane reacting to light and sound, creating a mix of beauty and terror. Echo Chamber traps visitors in a dialogue with a chatbot offering only blind optimism or fatalistic pessimism, reflecting algorithmic polarization. Entanglement offers a meditative video where biological and digital elements co-evolve. The show extends to four emerging Korean artists: Hayoung's Data Perfume converts digital traces into scents, revealing invisible algorithmic capitalism. Jisoo Yoo transforms visitor gestures into perpetually recomposing particles. Intae Hwang contrasts dreamt climates with real data. Youngchan Ko explores subterranean spaces for a 'bottom-up' world reading. Located at 43 rue de la Commune de Paris, the foundation offers free admission Tuesday to Friday 2-6 PM and Saturday 2-7 PM, closed Monday and Sunday.
