YHWH Nailgun's 11-Minute Album Redefines Rock Minimalism

The US quartet YHWH Nailgun has released their second album "Magazine," which runs only 11 minutes across ten tracks. The album is half the length of their 2025 debut "25 Pounds." Track lengths range from 35 seconds (the title track) to 96 seconds (the opener). The band moved from Philadelphia to New York. Drummer Sam Pickard drives the sound with roto-tom beats, while Saguiv Rosenstock's guitar and Jack Tobias's synthesizer add ghostly textures. Vocalist Zack Borzone delivers surreal biblical lyrics. Despite the radical brevity, the one-minute track "Sewer Tree" achieves surprising dynamics. The album is described as a logical evolution of their minimalist approach and represents the cutting edge of experimental rock.
