Yale University Press Announces Early 2026 Art Book Releases

Yale University Press has unveiled its late winter and spring 2026 art book lineup, featuring exhibition catalogues from major museum partners including The Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Raphael: Sublime Poetry", Yale Center for British Art's "Gwen John: Strange Beauties", George Eastman Museum's "Edward Steichen and the Garden", and Olana NY State Historic Site's "Frederic Church: Global Artist". Sweeping art histories cover "Celtic Art Across the Ages" and "The Story of Printmaking". A biography of Anni Albers by Nicholas Fox Weber, "Anni Albers: A Life", is joined by the catalogue "Anni Albers: Constructing Textiles" for a traveling European exhibition. Elizabeth Goldring's "Holbein" received praise from the UK Times, while Constanza Ontiveros Valdés in The Art Newspaper lauded "Frida: The Making of an Icon". Christie's named Alyce Mahon's "Dorothea Tanning: A Surrealist Life" a Best New Art Book of 2026. A 50% off sale begins in May.
