World Press Photo 2026 Exhibition in Barcelona Features Three Spanish Winners Documenting Global Crises
The CCCB in Barcelona will host the World Press Photo 2026 exhibition from November 6 to December 13, organized by Fundación Photographic Social Vision. This year's competition attracted 57,376 images submitted by 3,747 photographers from 141 nations, resulting in 42 award-winning projects. Among the winners, three Spanish photographers were recognized: Brais Lorenzo for "Tierra quemada," which captures the 2025 forest fires in Galicia, Luis Tato for "Las protestas de la Generación Z en Madagascar," and Diego Ibarra Sánchez for "Una educación secuestrada." The exhibition will feature guided tours and complimentary activities, with tickets available in October at fundacionpsv.org. The World Press Photo of the Year will be revealed on April 23, 2026.
