Wolf Kahn Foundation Opens Permanent NYC Space; MoMA PS1 Gets New Café
On August 24, the Wolf Kahn Foundation inaugurated a permanent location at 134 West 26th Street in NYC, honoring the German-born American artist. This space contains research materials such as letters, photographs, and studies. Ellen McCulloch-Lovell, the foundation's president, remarked that Kahn, who fled Nazi Germany, consistently returned to his studio in New York City. In early October, MoMA PS1 is set to launch a café called Symone, offering French-African dishes crafted by chef DeVonn Francis. The Mississippi Museum of Art has acquired several artworks, including pieces by Tommy Kha and 18 from Doy Gorton’s 'White South' series. Additionally, Wolf Burchard has been appointed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, while Amelia Redgrift and Dani Forest Brandi have resigned following layoffs at Pace Gallery.
