Winnie-the-Pooh Books Donated to 150 Red Phone Box Libraries for Centenary
In honor of the centenary of Winnie-the-Pooh and the iconic K2 red phone box, 150 red phone box libraries throughout the UK will receive free books. Farshore is providing copies of A.A. Milne's beloved tales alongside a new sequel titled A Little Boy and His Bear. The campaign was kicked off by actor Sally Phillips, who read to children at a school in Chartham, Kent. Members of the public are invited to suggest local phone box libraries, with some already established in Derbyshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, and the West Midlands. Dr. Nicole Holt emphasized the importance of accessibility in these libraries. This initiative supports the government's National Year of Reading 2026. Milne's original work debuted in 1926, inspired by his son's toys.
