Welling Walls Brings Murals to Astoria Streets
Established in 2024 by local community members, Welling Walls has transformed Welling Court and neighboring blocks in Astoria, Queens, into an open-air gallery. The initiative features murals by diverse artists, including Queens-native illustrator Annabelle Popa, Colombian American artist Felix Morelo, NYC-based Mad Vaillan, Brooklyn-native Panic Rodriguez, NYC-based Japanese artist Shiro One, veteran style master Yes One, Japanese American artist Kosuke James, Queens-based Mexican artist Onel, Astoria-based self-taught Filipino artist Jason B, and Colombia-born, NYC-based art director Jonathan Ramírez Ceballos.
