Wannenes Design Auction Tops €1.15M, Confirming Italian 20th-Century Design Market Strength

The Design auction held by Wannenes on July 9-10, 2026, achieved a total of €1,159,025, showcasing the department's impressive results. Among the standout items were a B.B.P.R. ceiling light (lot 85) that fetched €22,650 and a Gio Ponti table (lot 50 bis) which sold for €16,400. Significant lighting pieces included a Max Ingrand lamp (lot 128) at €21,400 and a 1960s model 2088 (lot 138) for €17,650. Both suspension lamps (lot 27) and wall lamps (lot 139) were each sold for €9,900. The Murano glass segment also performed well, with three Venini ceiling lights (lot 303) bringing in €11,030 and a pair of Carlo Scarpa lamps (lot 435) achieving €9,110. The department's turnover for the first half of the year approached €3.5 million.
