Wannenes conducted an auction titled 'Una raccolta di marmi, oggetti d’arte arredi e sculture' on March 25 and 26 in Genoa, Italy, focusing on decorative arts from the Renaissance to the 19th century. The event attracted significant interest from collectors and private buyers, with the auction house reporting a 218% increase in value compared to previous sales. Key highlights included a 19th-century patinated bronze bust of Plato, which sold for €112,650 as the top lot. Other notable items included an 18th-century ebony-veneered coin cabinet with hardstone plaques, featuring a figure of Hercules, which fetched €106,400, and a collection of over 930 antique marble and hardstone panels that went for €87,650. Additional sales featured a plaque with a parrot from early 18th-century Florentine grand-ducal workshops at €10,150, a 19th-century wood and leather table cabinet at €10,775, a lacquered console with polychrome flowers from Venice at €17,560, and pieces from Genoa such as a Louis XIV trumeau with exotic wood and gilded bronze mounts at €15,150 and a Louis XV bombé chest at €7,650. In the textiles section, a Flemish tapestry from around 1650 depicting the stories of Achilles, based on a Peter Paul Rubens design held at the Museo del Prado, sold for €10,775.
