exhibition · 2026-07-05

The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis is set to kick off its first-ever design triennial, titled 'Beyond Materialism,' on October 17. This exhibition, curated by Joseph Grima and Walker's own Aslı Altay, explores the intersections of spirituality, emotional ties, and community in contemporary design. It will feature about 50 works from 26 designers and collectives across 10+ countries, including Austria, Belgium, and Nigeria. Among them, seven designers are showcasing their work in the US for the first time, like Espace Aygo and Stef Fusani. The event will also highlight two commissioned pieces from VESSEL (James Bridle & Navine G. Dossos) and Lucas Muñoz Muñoz, alongside contributions from Ananas Ananas and Germane.
