Vogue Revisits Hugh Grant's Early Career in Vintage Photo Retrospective
To celebrate Hugh Grant's 66th birthday, Vogue released a slideshow featuring 15 vintage photos that highlight his career from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. Hugh John Mungo Grant, born in London in September 1960, pursued English literature at Oxford before launching his film journey with Merchant Ivory's Maurice in 1986. The collection showcases Grant alongside director James Ivory, in films such as The Bengali Night (1988) and Champagne Charlie (1989), as well as at a 1992 gathering for The Remains of the Day with Emma Thompson. Key highlights include the 1994 London premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral with Elizabeth Hurley, his participation in Red Nose Day in 1995, and roles in Notting Hill (1998) and Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
