Virtual Colloquium on Indigenous Architecture Focuses on Peruvian Plant Fiber Traditions

The 55th Virtual Colloquium on Indigenous Architecture in the Americas will take place on March 16, 2026, organized by ARQA, the New Indigenous Architecture Colloquium, the National University of Misiones, and the Autonomous University of Yucatán. The session will examine the use of plant fibers in traditional Peruvian architecture from coastal and highland regions, spanning from the Archaic period to the present day. Architect Lucila Quillahuaman and visual artist Henry Ortiz will lead the discussion. The event will be held online with scheduled start times for Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and GMT.
