Viltrox Teases Micro Four Thirds Lens Announcement

Viltrox has teased an upcoming announcement for Micro Four Thirds lenses, with a reveal expected on July 23. The company posted a teaser on Chinese social media, and its official Reddit account hinted at new products. Rumors suggest the lenses could be AF 25mm f/1.7 Air and AF 35mm f/1.7, originally designed for APS-C, which are compact and lightweight. The AF 25mm f/1.7 Air weighs 170 grams and accepts 52mm filters, while the AF 35mm f/1.7 has identical dimensions. These lenses would be equivalent to 50mm and 70mm primes on Micro Four Thirds. Viltrox's Air series also includes 9mm f/2.8, 15mm f/1.7, and 56mm f/1.7 lenses, all under $200 except the $239 AF 15mm f/1.7. It is unclear if Viltrox will officially join the Micro Four Thirds system.
