Villa in Recco designed by four architectural firms opens in 2025 on site of WWII destruction

A new villa in Recco, Italy, designed by four architectural firms, will be completed in 2025. The project covers 750 square meters and involves Giordano Hadamik Architects, Gosplan, caarpa, and studio.skey. Design coordination is led by Giordano Hadamik Architects and Gosplan, with landscape coordination by caarpa. Key team members include Nadine Hadamik, Lorenzo Trompetto, Marta Carraro, and Francesco Forni. The site holds historical significance: on November 10, 1943, British Royal Air Force bombers destroyed much of Recco, killing civilians and obliterating the Ligurian village, including a 15th-century Franciscan complex. During reconstruction, architect Luigi Vietti contributed to rebuilding the town. The villa incorporates products from manufacturers like Flexform, Vitra, and Cassina.
