Videographer Jaelen McCormick Fatally Shot After Party Job in Charlotte

Jaelen McCormick, a 20-year-old videographer, was shot dead on July 7, 2026, at 1:00 AM after working at a pajama party at S&D Banquet Hall in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was returning a camera to his car when the incident occurred. Keytavious Lewis, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Witnesses reported seeing Lewis point a gun at McCormick and flee, dropping the weapon. Police were already at the club responding to an earlier fight.
