Vesod's Quantum Physics Mural Transforms University of Naples into Italy's First Urban Creativity District
Italy's inaugural university urban creativity district has emerged at the University of Naples Federico II's Monte Sant'Angelo science complex, thanks to the ISAAC – International Street Art Academy Campus initiative led by Luca Borriello from INWARD. Since 2019, artists have crafted site-specific installations that reinterpret scientific fields through urban creativity. The most recent mural, created by Vesod, adorns the quantum bunker walls of the Physics Department, delving into themes of ordinary and quantum physics while integrating Neapolitan cultural elements with the help of students and faculty. Other notable contributions include Naturale Evoluzione by Biodpì and Raro, Archidinamica by Greg Jager, and Accumulo by Gig. The project receives backing from Reggia Designer Outlet, highlighting cultural accessibility via urban renewal.
