On Thursday, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) issued a warning regarding significant health threats facing tens of thousands of individuals affected by Venezuela's devastating earthquakes. PAHO Director Jarbas Barbosa highlighted that, in the upcoming weeks, health risks could arise from injuries, overcrowded shelters, and inadequate water and sanitation facilities, along with limited access to vaccinations and routine medical care. Following the twin quakes on June 24, Venezuela has established over 80 shelters, accommodating 17,907 displaced individuals as of Thursday.
