VCUarts Presents 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibition in Two Installments at Richmond's ICA

Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts is presenting its 2026 Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition in two phases at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Richmond, Virginia. Curated by Egbert Vongmalaithong of the ICA and Taylor Jasper from the Walker Art Center, the show features works by graduating students across six disciplines including Craft/Material Studies, Graphic Design, and Sculpture + Extended Media. The first installment runs from March 20 to April 5, 2026, with the second scheduled for May 1 through May 17, 2026. This exhibition represents the conclusion of two years of intensive artistic research and studio work, showcasing diverse material approaches and conceptual depth that reflect current cultural dialogues.
