Valentino Garavani's Estate to Be Sold for Charity

The estate of late Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, who died in January 2026 at age 93, will be sold to fund charitable projects through a Liechtenstein foundation. Assets include luxury properties in Rome, Paris, London, and New York, a 47-meter yacht, and an art collection featuring works by Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, and Damien Hirst. The fashion house Valentino, founded in 1960, was sold in 1998 and is not part of the estate. The foundation's charter supports art, culture, education, humanitarian aid, and environmental and animal protection. Executor Ronald Feijen confirmed the sales to La Repubblica. The estate's total value is estimated in the hundreds of millions of euros.
