USPS Honors Linda McCartney with Forever Stamp Collection
The United States Postal Service will unveil a new collection of Forever stamps honoring renowned photographer Linda McCartney on September 25 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. This series features 20 stamps showcasing her nature and still life photography, designed by USPS art director Derry Noyes, including a self-portrait of McCartney. Born Linda Eastman in 1941, she rose to fame in the 1960s, becoming the first woman on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1968. McCartney, who married Paul McCartney and co-founded the band Wings, died in 1998. The stamps will be available in sets through USPS outlets and online.
