Unpublished Africa Opens Submissions for Street Photography Volume 3

publication · 2026-07-21

Unpublished Africa is now open for submissions for 'From the African Streets Volume 3.' This collaborative project aims to showcase street photography from their photo walks across the continent, focusing on the essence of city life, architecture, and urban transformations. The latest volume will explore themes like movement, development, and daily experiences that shape local identities. To participate, photographers must be African residents aged 18 or older and must have taken their photos during an Unpublished Africa Photo Walk in designated cities. They can submit up to five original JPEG images, each at least 3000 pixels wide and no larger than 5 MB, along with a short caption. It’s important that images do not exploit sensitive subjects, particularly involving children or poverty, and may require model releases for identifiable people. Those chosen will receive full credit in the publication and could have their work featured in promotional activities. The submission deadline is 22 March 2026. Applicants need to provide their name, city, country, photo walk details, and a link to their portfolio if desired, using the online form available on the Unpublished Africa website.
