University of Verona Launches Museum of Contemporary Art with Digital Platform and International Conference
The Museo del Contemporaneo, dedicated to contemporary art, was officially opened by the University of Verona, marking one year since its establishment. On July 22, the museum will host the Conference of Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes at Polo Santa Marta, with participation from over eighty representatives involved in Italian cultural diplomacy, an initiative backed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The collection boasts more than one hundred artworks from creators such as David Adamo and Shilpa Gupta, showcased across various university locations. Additionally, the new website is a component of the 'Farsi Museo' initiative, which won the PAC – Piano per l'Arte Contemporanea 2025. Founded in 2025 through a donation from Giorgio and Anna Fasol, the museum includes projects like 'Bios Techne' at Ca' Vignal and a conservation initiative with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona.
