Tyreek McDole Announces New Album "CHROMA" and French Tour, Including New Morning on November 5
American vocalist Tyreek McDole will release his second album, "CHROMA", on November 6 via Artwork Records / [PIAS]. Produced by Theo Croker, the record follows his 2025 debut "Open Up Your Senses" and blends three original compositions with seven reinterpretations of songs by Annahstasia, Kendrick Lamar, OutKast, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, and Richie Havens. Alongside the announcement, McDole shared a cover of OutKast's "she's alive", originally written and performed by André 3000. The track addresses how Black women and mothers confront inequalities in the American healthcare system, featuring trumpet by Akili Bradley and a prominent vocal performance. McDole will support the album with a French tour, highlighted by a concert at New Morning in Paris on November 5. Télérama has already named the show one of the major musical events of the season. The tour includes stops in Neuilly, Caen, Poissy, Clermont-Ferrand, Ablon-sur-Seine, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Meudon, Le Mans, Limoges, Monte-Carlo, Fouesnant, and Fontainebleau. McDole, a baritone, won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2023 and has performed extensively on the international jazz scene. He has also participated in Kenny Barron's Song Book, an experience that shaped his approach to listening and constructing his own voice. As a singer, arranger, and percussionist, he continues to merge jazz tradition with contemporary influences on "CHROMA".
