TypeType Foundry has unveiled version 2.000 of the TT Nooks Serif typeface, a display family distinguished by its sharp slipper serifs and broad proportions. This latest iteration includes seven upright weights, spanning from light to heavy black display styles, featuring consistent stem widths for balanced appearance across different sizes. Each style now boasts a glyph set of 904 characters, with OpenType features such as diamond punctuation and alternative glyph shapes. Stylistic sets provide variations for letters like Q, a, g, and y. Supporting over 230 languages worldwide, the design is recognized for its pronounced stroke contrast, flat squarish curves, and asymmetrical serifs that resemble small slippers. Specimen prints highlight the font’s versatility, appearing in book spreads alongside images of ancient stone sculptures, as well as on leather cafe menus and coffee bags.
