Two US troops killed in Iran attack on Jordan base

On Friday, an Iranian missile and drone strike on a US base in Jordan resulted in the deaths of two American service members, with one more reported missing. This incident marks the first fatalities of US troops from direct Iranian assaults since the onset of the war. The US military confirmed the casualties on Saturday, adding that four other service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan but have since been released. The identities of the deceased have not yet been disclosed. To date, 16 US service members have lost their lives and over 430 have sustained injuries. Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, cautioned of "unforgettable lessons" for the US if attacks persist, labeling President Donald Trump's signature as "worthless and invalid." Additionally, a negotiator announced that Tehran is halting its commitments to the interim agreement reached about a month ago.
