Turkish Consulate in New York to Host Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Exhibition

From October 8 to 26, 2026, the Turkish Consulate General in New York will host "Ahmet Ertegün: A Few Things Which Began at Everett House," an exhibition curated by Lara Bayer. This showcase will include works from both American and Turkish artists, such as Logan Criley, Bayram Demir, Jordan Doner, Barış Göktürk, Bob Gruen, Zachary Lank, and Andy Warhol, featuring various mediums like painting, drawing, mixed media, textile, printmaking, and photography. The exhibition delves into Ertegün's impact on music and art. A Turkish-born co-founder of Atlantic Records, Ertegün resided at Everett House during the 1940s. The event aims to emphasize the cultural connections between Turkey and the U.S., with an anticipated opening on October 8.
