Tural Studio Renovates 1880 Madrid Home in El Rastro District

The architecture firm Tural Studio has completed a renovation of a residential building from 1880 located in Madrid's historic El Rastro neighborhood. The project reinterpreted the original architecture through an organized layout that respects historical elements. The home's interior is organized around three bays corresponding to different living functions: a central kitchen and dining area, a living room opening to the street with original moldings preserved, and a private bedroom zone. Key original features like exposed brick walls, moldings, rosettes, and radiators were maintained. The material palette includes red joinery inspired by traditional city closures and visible copper piping. The renovation integrates the building's historical character with contemporary living.
