Tufts Museum Studies Student Conducts Research at Harvard Museums

Emily Rothe, a student in the Museum Studies Program at Tufts University, completed a practicum at the Harvard Museums of Science and Culture. During her internship, she designed and implemented a timing and tracking study for the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments gallery, which is scheduled for renovation next year. She also created interactive educational activities involving tuning forks and orreries for weekend visitors. Rothe presented her research findings to multiple departments, including executive directors, and noted the experience provided valuable insights into institutional operations.
