Tristan Burfield Designs Coastal Retreat in Aireys Inlet, Australia

Architect Tristan Burfield completed a 58-square-meter timber addition in Aireys Inlet, Australia, in 2025. The project, known as No.23 Residence, is situated along the Great Ocean Road near Eagle Rock. It serves as a private retreat for short-term stays, hidden within a bush garden. Construction was handled by Great Ocean Road Builders, with photography by Tasha Tylee. Miwa Negoro curated the architectural presentation. The location offers access to coastal walks, surf beaches, and sandstone cliffs. This freestanding structure provides a robust space for families or couples.
