institutional · 2026-05-14

Triennale Milano, in collaboration with Qatar Museums, has initiated a new educational program for recent graduates from Qatari universities. The program includes a selection call overseen by a committee from Design Doha, followed by a residency in Milan that began on April 20. Five graduates—Reema Abu Hassan, Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Adriane de Souza, Maryam Hashim, and Meryem Omerspahic—are participating, engaging in workshops, studio activities, and meetings. Their residency coincided with Milan Design Week, allowing them to visit Salone del Mobile and other city events. An open meeting will be held at Triennale Milano on May 15 at 6 PM, featuring the participants and the bootcamp team. Triennale President Stefano Boeri emphasized the institution's role as a school for knowledge transmission, while Design Doha Director Fahad Al Obaidly highlighted the initiative's goal of building a global network of designers, producers, and institutions, integrating participants into international design discourse.
