Trafalgar Entertainment Acquires Nicholas Hytner's Bridge Theatre
Trafalgar Entertainment has purchased the Bridge theatre in London and the Lightroom immersive art venue from the London Theatre Company (LTC), which was established by Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr. This acquisition encompasses the entire operation of LTC. Hytner, who has led the Bridge for nine years, considers the sale timely, praising the venue's versatile 900-seat auditorium and its notable productions, such as his promenade Julius Caesar and the enduring Guys and Dolls. Starr, the departing CEO of LTC, highlighted the theatre's modern and inclusive approach. Founded in 2017 by Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire, Trafalgar Entertainment manages over 20 venues across the UK and Australia. The Bridge's upcoming production is Simon Stone's The Oresteia, while the Olivier-winning Into the Woods will move to the West End in September.
