Three Spanish Artists Elected to Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando

The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando has elected three new members during an extraordinary session on March 23. José Luis Temes joins the Music section, Emilio Tuñón enters the Architecture division, and Juan Uslé becomes part of the Painting wing. Temes, a conductor born in Madrid in 1956, is recognized for promoting Spanish music and received the National Music Prize in 2008. Tuñón, an architect, co-founded Mansilla + Tuñón Arquitectos and has won awards including the EU Mies van der Rohe Prize. Uslé, a painter from Santander born in 1954, is known for abstract works and received the National Plastic Arts Prize in 2002. All three were selected for their significant contributions to their respective fields.
